Christians in the Middle East
Despite the continuous exodus of Christians from the Middle East, today there are still substantial communities left in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. This course will explore such communities as the Maronites, Copts, Assyrians and others, placing them in their historical context (East as the home of Christianity), and their current political setting.
