Tech Savvy Seniors: Intro to Social Media 2 (Intermediate)
In this follow on from 'Tech Savvy Seniors: Intro to Social Media 1', we’ll go through the process for setting up profiles in Facebook, Google and X (formerly known as Twitter). When it’s done, you’ll have set up accounts in each of these social media services. We’ll also talk you through the issue of protecting your privacy while using these services.
Prerequisite: Attendance in 'Tech Savvy Seniors: Intro to Social Media 1' (or equivalent knowledge)
The Tech Savvy Seniors program (held in partnership with the NSW Government and Telstra) delivers government-funded digital literacy training to seniors (aged 60 years and above) and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander elders (aged 50 years and above) who have little or no experience in using technologies or require additional skills and confidence to use and adapt to new technologies, so they can develop the skills and confidence to access information and services online, or connect with family and friends.
