Japan - Kochi and Ehime Discovery

Kochi and Ehime Prefectures are where sparklingly clear rivers and streams wind slowly and circuitously from mountains through verdant valleys to the shimmering Pacific Ocean. The population is sparse and mostly spread amongst farming villages, surrounded by citrus groves, ginger and rice fields, and small fishing towns. Here, an ageless and gentle day-to-day rhythm of life is still sustained. We will explore old Salt Roads, the most beautiful temple of the 88 Temples Shikoku Pilgrimage, the famous Dappan-no-michi, escape route of Sakamoto Ryoma, a key participant in the Meiji Restoration, explore Kuma Kengo architecture in the mountains of Ehime, and soak in the hot springs of Dogo after exploring the exquisite Garyusanso.
