Travel & Coffee - Ireland's Dublin

Dublin is Ireland’s ancient Viking capital. We take a walking tour to explore this modern Irish city in all its Celtic glory. The National Gallery, Trinity College and City Hall give us good examples of the architecture and culture of Dublin. We might even glimpse the aspect of town shown in the book Ulysses by James Joyce.

COURSE OUTLINE

  • Trinity College – Famous university, created in 1592.
  • Temple Bar – Built as a customs house in 1707, now a famous inn.
  • Dublin Castle – Begun in 1204, now a major government complex.
  • Book of Kells – Illuminated manuscript exhibited at Trinity College.
  • Christchurch Cathedral – Dublin’s Anglican cathedral.
