Shinobu obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Language and Area Studies in Japan and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Sociology and doctoral coursework in International Relations in South Korea. In Australia, she earned a Master’s degree in Translation and a Master of Teaching degree, and is a NESA-accredited teacher. She has extensive experience teaching Japanese and Korean and currently teaches at both tertiary and secondary levels in Sydney. Her academic and professional interests focus on second language acquisition and the pedagogical support of language learners.
