Video calling is a phone call made using your mobile phone, tablet or computer that lets you see each other while talking.  The camera allows you to see each other’s facial expressions and body language – almost as if you were speaking in person. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to two widely used video calling apps: Zoom and Facetime. To attend this workshop you must have at least basic skills on the device you will be bringing to the class. Please note you must bring your own fully charged device, charger, a notepad and pen.

The Tech Savvy Seniors program (held in partnership with the NSW Government and Telstra) delivers government-funded digital literacy training to seniors (aged 60 years and above) and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander elders (aged 50 years and above) who have little or no experience in using technologies or require additional skills and confidence to use and adapt to new technologies, so they can develop the skills and confidence to access information and services online, or connect with family and friends.
