His musicians loved him so much, they called him “Papa Haydn.” Friend of Mozart, teacher of Beethoven, father of the string quartet and the symphony, he lived at a crucial and fascinating time in the history of classical music. At the height of his career he was the most famous living musician in Europe. Join us as we explore the life and music of this great composer.
