This course helps you strengthen your communication skills for everyday situations while deepening your understanding of beginner French grammar and vocabulary, making it ideal for learners looking to use French for travel, work, or personal enrichment in a supportive, interactive learning environment.

You will learn to understand a menu and give your opinion, go shopping and buy clothes, compare different customs, describe how things have evolved over time, and make both positive and negative appreciations. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, covering indefinite and partitive articles, expressions of precise quantity, the pronoun en, comparative structures, the imperfect tense with time markers for the past, reciprocal pronominal verbs, customer-service expressions, and the present tense of payer. Phonetics is integrated throughout, with focused practice on question intonation, expressive rhythm, and key sounds such as [b] and [p], [ɛ̃] and [ɑ̃], and [ʒ] and [ʃ]. Vocabulary development centres on nutrition, gastronomy, ingredients, shopping, clothes and accessories, reading-related terms, and language structures for expressing positive or negative appreciation, helping you communicate more naturally and confidently in real-life contexts.
