Continue developing your beginner Italian fluency and confidence with our Beginner Italian: A1.4 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Italian: A1.3 Course or have approximately 60 hours of prior study. This course helps you strengthen your communication skills for everyday situations while deepening your understanding of Italian grammar and vocabulary, making it ideal for learners wanting to learn the Italian language for travel, work, or personal enrichment in a supportive, interactive learning environment.
You will learn to describe places and itineraries, ask for and give information, discuss holidays and the weather, and talk about schedules and opening times. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, covering ci + andare, dovere, potere, volere, passato prossimo (regular and irregular forms), adjective agreement, the partitive, tutto il / tutti i, and double negatives. Phonetics is integrated throughout, with practice in the pronunciation of sc and sch to develop clear and confident speech in Italian.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Communicate effectively in everyday and travel-related situations, including describing places and itineraries, asking for and giving information, talking about holidays, weather, and opening times, and narrating simple past events.
- Use key grammar structures and vocabulary accurately, including ci + andare, dovere, potere, volere, the passato prossimo (regular and irregular forms), adjectives and their agreements, the partitive, interrogatives (quando, quale), and expressions with tutto and double negatives.
- Develop pronunciation and fluency, with focused practice on the “sc” and “sch” sounds for clearer and more natural Italian speech.
