Sydney Historical Walking Tours
Explore South Head's spectacular landscapes and discover its rich history of maritime navigation, defence, science and early settlement.

South Head has welcomed ships into Sydney Harbour for more than two centuries. This fascinating guided walk explores the Hornby Lighthouse, military fortifications, Camp Cove, the Marine Biological Station and other significant heritage sites overlooking the harbour entrance. Along the way participants will hear stories of Indigenous history, early European settlement, shipwrecks, World War II defences and remarkable local identities, all while enjoying some of Sydney's finest coastal views. The walk concludes with the option of lunch and a ferry journey across the harbour.
