This is a course for those who have no knowledge of Ancient Greek. After mastering the alphabet, the course will touch on parts of the rich grammar of Ancient Greece and constantly build on vocabulary. The course will act as a ground-work for a continuation into the next stage of studying the language. In addition, the study of Ancient Greek even at this level provides an understanding of our own and other languages.

• Simple sentence from English to Ancient Greek
• Cultural background, especially of Ancient Athens

LANGUAGE CLASS TRANSFER POLICY

If you are a new WEA Student and enrol into a language class and subsequently find that you are at the wrong level (whether too high or too low), you are permitted to transfer into another more suitable class at no additional cost, provided that the request is made within the first two classes and is in writing from your tutor directly to the Education Manager. After that point, an administration fee of $30 will apply.
