Continue developing your beginner Italian fluency and confidence with our Beginner Italian: A2.4 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Italian: A2.3 Course course or have approximately 160 hours of prior study. This course helps you build stronger communication skills for everyday situations while expanding your understanding of Italian grammar and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Italian for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.

You will practise communication in situations such as describing health problems, giving advice, discussing future plans, and exploring employment and careers. Grammar is introduced naturally through these interactions, including the imperative, future tense, conditional structures, and key pronoun usage. Vocabulary and phonetics are integrated throughout, including topics such as health, the body, and work-related contexts, alongside key structures and expressions used in everyday Italian communication.

  • Trying to persuade someone
  • Discussing the future
  • Expressing wishes and intentions
  • Reading and writing CVs
  • Exploring employment and careers

Grammar

  • Imperative: affirmative and negative (Lei and Voi)
  • Pronouns: position with imperative (Lei); La and Le
  • Comparatives and superlatives: buono / bene
  • Nouns: endings -tore, -ista; irregular plurals
  • Tense forms: simple future
  • Structures: metterci (time needed)
  • Conditional structures: real and likely conditions (if + present/future)

Vocabulary

  • Body parts (parti del corpo)
  • At the doctor / pharmacy / medical clinic
  • Buono / bene
  • Nouns in -tore, -ista
  • Metterci
