Continue developing your beginner Latin knowledge and confidence with our Beginner Latin: Course 2, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Latin: Course 1 or have approximately 20 hours of prior study. This course helps you build your ability to read and understand Latin texts while expanding your knowledge of core grammatical structures and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Latin for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.
You will begin reading short narrative passages involving movement, social roles, and everyday situations. Grammar expands to include additional noun declensions and a wider range of verb tenses. Syntax focuses on pronouns and the introduction of relative and temporal clauses, while vocabulary develops through common narrative themes and high-frequency verbs.
