Ready to move beyond intermediate and keep building on your understanding of Latin? This advanced Latin course is ideal for students who have completed our Intermediate Latin Conclusion course or have approximately 150+ hours of prior study and wish to continue developing their skills at an advanced level of Latin. This course focuses on refining your ability to interpret and translate Latin texts with confidence while consolidating your understanding of complex grammatical structures and stylistic features. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Latin for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.

You will work with a range of Latin texts, developing skills in close reading, translation, and textual analysis. The course focuses on accurate translation from Latin into English, as well as guided practice in translating English into Latin to reinforce grammatical precision. You will explore comprehension, literary appreciation, and critical response, while also examining Roman thought, values, and historical context. Grammar is reinforced through application, enabling you to engage with Latin texts independently and with increasing confidence.

Please note: A Latin-English dictionary is recommended for this course to assist with translations of text.
