Qigong is more than just exercise; it is a discipline for life. Through regular practice, you will develop a deeper intimacy with your body, recognising and releasing tension and emotional blockages. Whether you are seeking physical health, stress reduction, or a greater sense of contentment and wisdom, Qigong provides the tools for lasting transformation. Suitable for all fitness levels; no prior experience required.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate Core Qigong Postures: Perform foundational movements and still positions with the correct alignment to facilitate the smooth flow of Qi.
  2. Regulate the Nervous System: Apply breathing techniques independently to transition from a state of stress to one of calm and relaxation.
  3. Apply Intentional Focus: Utilise mental ""intent"" to direct energy within the body, improving concentration and emotional regulation.
  4. Identify Physical and Mental Blockages: Exhibit a heightened self-awareness regarding postural tension, shallow breathing, and restrictive thought patterns.
  5. Establish a Home Practice: Design a personalised daily routine based on the exercises learned in class to ensure the accumulative benefits of Qigong are maintained.
  6. Integrate Mind-Body Harmony: Describe how the synchronisation of movement, breath, and thought contributes to general contentment and improved interpersonal relationships.
