Journey through the ancient temples, sacred landscapes and living traditions of South India on this carefully curated educational experience through Tamil Nadu. Designed for intellectually curious travellers and lifelong learners, this escorted journey combines history, culture, philosophy, spirituality and experiential learning in one of India's most fascinating regions.
Tamil Nadu is the cradle of Dravidian civilisation and home to some of the world's most magnificent temple complexes, many of which have been active centres of worship for more than a thousand years. Along the way, participants will encounter UNESCO World Heritage sites, ancient kingdoms, traditional arts and crafts, local cuisine and the enduring cultural practices that continue to shape South India today.
The educational heart of the journey is time spent in Tiruvannamalai, one of India's most revered spiritual centres and home to the Ramana Maharshi Ashram. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi, the philosophy of self-inquiry and non-duality, and reflect upon the universal questions of identity, meaning and self-realisation that have attracted seekers from around the world.
This is not simply a holiday or sightseeing tour. It is an immersive educational journey that invites participants to explore the rich intersection of history, philosophy, spirituality and culture while travelling in the company of fellow lifelong learners.
