Course Delivery

Our vocational courses are designed for flexibility and accessibility with 24/7 access through our online learning portal.

You can study at your own pace while receiving trainer support when required.

There are no mandatory classroom sessions or compulsory vocational placements unless specifically stated within the course information.

Qualifications and Pathways

A vocational education qualification confirms competency against nationally recognised training package requirements.

  • Listed on the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
  • Based on nationally endorsed training packages
  • Delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
  • Issued once all competency requirements are successfully completed

Skill Sets are smaller groups of units designed to develop targeted workplace skills and industry capabilities.

  • Nationally recognised training outcomes
  • Shorter and faster than full qualifications
  • Focused on specific job roles or workplace functions

Units of Competency are individual building blocks that make up vocational qualifications and skill sets.

Each unit focuses on a specific workplace skill or competency area.

Examples may include:

  • Delivering training sessions
  • Assessing learners
  • Designing learning programs

A Skill Set may suit you if you:

  • Need training in a specific workplace function
  • Already have industry experience
  • Want a faster pathway to targeted skills

A full qualification may suit you if you:

  • Plan to deliver and assess training professionally
  • Require full industry recognition

Assessment and Entry

Assessment tasks may include:

  • Written knowledge activities
  • Practical demonstrations
  • Assessment design projects
  • Recorded or simulated training delivery

Some courses may require students to record or simulate workplace-based activities.

  • Relevant vocational or industry experience
  • Ability to demonstrate workplace skills and knowledge

  • 1 month extension — $50
  • 3 month extension — $150

Support and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows your existing skills, knowledge and experience to be assessed against qualification requirements.

Evidence may include:

  • Industry experience
  • Prior qualifications
  • Workplace documentation and evidence

The process may include:

  • Evidence submission
  • Assessment discussions
  • Competency evaluation

Full or partial credit may be granted depending on the evidence provided. Additional gap training may also be required.

Important: RPL applications are assessed individually by the Vocational Training Manager.
