Student Wellbeing Policy
Purpose
WEA Sydney recognises that student wellbeing supports successful learning and course completion. This policy outlines how WEA Sydney promotes a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment in line with the ASQA Standards for RTOs (2025).

- promoting learner wellbeing and participation
- responding appropriately to student concerns
Wellbeing Principles
WEA Sydney aims to support students by:
- creating welcoming and respectful classrooms
- promoting inclusive teaching practices
- encouraging positive communication
- responding to wellbeing concerns appropriately
Student Support
Support available may include:
- guidance from trainers or staff
- reasonable adjustments for learning needs
- referral to external support services where appropriate
- flexible learning arrangements where possible
Safety and Respect
All students are expected to:
- behave respectfully towards others
- follow the Student Code of Conduct
- contribute to a safe learning environment
Wellbeing Concerns
Students experiencing wellbeing concerns may speak with:
- their tutor/trainer
- a WEA Sydney staff member
- the Executive Director
Emergency Situations
If a student is at immediate risk, emergency services should be contacted.
