This course is designed for learners who have an intermediate level of French who would like to focus purely on developing confidence and fluency in spoken communication rather than reading and writing.

Through interactive activities such as guided discussions and role-plays, you will practise speaking about everyday topics, expanding vocabulary, improving pronunciation and building more natural French speech in a relaxed and encouraging environment. You will also explore cultural aspects of the French-speaking world while developing practical strategies to understand others, keep conversations going, and express yourself more easily in common everyday situations. Suitable for learners who have at least 350 hours of prior study.

  • Practise lower-intermediate conversational French through guided discussions and role-play
  • Develop fluency in vocabulary and grammar structures

  • Strategies to overcome speaking challenges

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Communicate with increased confidence in everyday conversations on familiar topics
  2. Share opinions, experiences, and plans using appropriate vocabulary and simple connected speech
  3. Understand and respond to others in group discussions and common social situations in French
