Through case studies from the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia, we explore how religion can both influence and be used within political struggles. We consider the roles of identity, economics and historical tensions in shaping conflict.
This course encourages a more nuanced understanding of global issues beyond simplified explanations.
