This session bridges the gap between face-to-face expertise and digital delivery, equipping you with the confidence to lead impactful sessions across online and hybrid environments. Through practical activities, real-world examples, and discussion, you’ll learn how to design, develop and source digital resources and inclusive experiences that actively engage remote participants. Discover how to use classroom technology confidently and purposefully, minimise digital overwhelm, manage online audiences, and maintain energy, interaction, and learner engagement every step of the way.

The workshop explores options, techniques and strategies for online delivery, expanding into tutors’ own authentic and current face-to-face course examples and the opportunities and obstacles in transforming for online. Tutors are strongly encouraged to bring examples of their own face-to-face course PowerPoint slides, additional content and activities. We’ll explore potential options for translating your current practice for online, with a facilitated discussion featuring respectful and open sharing, review and critique. You’ll leave the workshop with optional ‘homework tasks,’ a range of potential techniques and strategies to keep your learners involved, adaptable tools you can implement immediately, and a clear framework for designing sessions that work across a variety of teaching modes. Whether you’re stepping into online delivery for the first time or looking to elevate your online facilitation, this workshop will give you the essential skills, confidence, and clarity to design and deliver engaging digital learning experiences.
